About Kids Discover

Kids Discover is an educational publisher that produces high-interest nonfiction reading for children ages 6-14. The company was founded by Mark Levine in 1991, and is family owned and operated. Ted Levine serves as the company's President and CEO. In 2015, Kids Discover launched Kids Discover Online, a web-based subscription to their entire library. Teachers can subscribe to Kids Discover Online and use the platform with their students. The company also sells school and district licenses.

The Challenges

Schools faced the challenge of manually adding and updating student accounts on the Kids Discover platform.
The process was time-consuming and prone to errors (e.g., incorrect data entry, lack of synchronization).
There was a clear need for automatic synchronization between school systems and the educational platform.

The solution

Integrated Kids Discover with Clever and ClassLink, enabling automatic syncing of classes and student accounts. Overall, Kids Discover improved its operational efficiency and enhanced the user experience for both teachers and students.

Before

Before, schools had to manually manage student accounts on the Kids Discover platform, a slow and error-prone process that often caused data mismatches and took administrators away from higher-value work. Onboarding new schools and classes was similarly cumbersome, making it difficult for the platform to scale efficiently.

After

After integrating with Clever and ClassLink, Kids Discover gained automatic syncing, SSO access and accurate real-time data updates that greatly reduced administrative effort. The platform also introduced new content and accessibility features, such as Quick Quizzes, video support, third-party integrations and Scavenger Hunts.
